 AS 4801 is a health and safety management system. This system ensures that our business:

ISO 45001

 ISO 45001 is the new international standard for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). While it is similar to OHSAS 18001, the new ISO 45001 standard adopts the Annex SL top-level framework of all new and revised ISO management system standards.

Implementing an OHSMS enables our organisation to:

NATA

 The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) accreditation is a reliable indicator of the technical competence of our Electrical Laboratory and its ability to consistently produce accurate and dependable data. It also gives our customers the confidence that our facility has been assessed against best international practices.

 

NATA accreditation provides a means of determining, formally recognising and promoting the competence of facilities to perform specific types of testing, inspection, calibration, and other related activities.

Green Star

 Our PVC cables are compliant with the requirements of 'Best Practice Guidelines for PVC in the Built Environment'. So if you are starting to develop a Project with the aim of obtaining Green Star certification you can choose our cables with confidence.

Green Star is an internationally recognised sustainability rating system launched by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) in 2003. Green Star offers a framework of best practice benchmarks for sustainability, considering the design, construction (involving materials) and operation of sustainable buildings, fitouts and communities.

ACI

 The main focus of the Approved Cables Initiative (ACI) is to ensure that electrical cables available in the Australian Market are fully compliant to the relevant Australian standards.

Presence of this logo on electric cables gives the purchaser the following assurances:

  • The electrical cable is fully compliant to the relevant Australian Standards
  • The electrical cable has passed all the relevant electrical & mechanical testing
  • The cable has been manufactured in Australia
  • The manufacturing facility complies with all Worker Health and Safety legislation.

 ACMA Compliance Mark  

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is the government body responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the internet, radio communications and telecommunications.

An RCM label is applied to our telecommunications customer equipment and customer cabling products or packaging to indicate compliance to the relevant ACMA technical standards.

 The RCM label is evidence that our products comply with these technical standards and that associated record-keeping requirements (including testing) have been met.

 ERAC and EESS Compliance Mark

The Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) is the peak body of electrical safety regulators in Australia and New Zealand. ERAC acts to ensure electrical safety regulatory systems are contemporary and harmonised wherever possible.

The Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS) has been established by ERAC. It specifies a mandatory requirement for all electrical equipment manufacturers and importers, as Responsible Suppliers (RS), to register their details and make a declaration that all the equipment they sell meets relevant standards and is electrically safe.

 RCM Compliance Mark 

The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) is used to indicate that a supplier has taken the necessary steps to have products comply with electrical safety and/or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) legislative requirements as defined by the ACMA and ERAC.

An RCM label applied to our products or packaging is evidence that those products comply with the relevant ACMA or EESS technical standards and that associated record-keeping requirements (including testing) have been met.

 As the world’s leading cable manufacturer we welcome this initiative – and are happy to use the RCM as proof of our compliance.
